Description
This course will help you to maintain or improve your mental health and wellbeing. Try something new, rediscover an old interest or take up a new hobby. Learning can be fun, boost your self-confidence, self-esteem, help to find meaning and purpose in life, and connect with others. Take some time to relax, unwind and improve your mental wellbeing. These sessions offer a friendly, informal and supportive environment.
Who is this course for?
Brightside is for anyone experiencing mild to moderate mental ill health. Brightside courses give you the tools and support to manage your worries and live a happier, more balanced life. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. The course offers a safe, welcoming space to learn self-care techniques that work for you; help to manage stress and anxiety; find calmness and connection; share experiences and make friends. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback, so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. You may wish to wear an apron. You may want to bring something to make notes.
Are there any other costs?
There is a £10 cost for this course which is to cover the material fees.
We hope you will want to move onto another Brightside course, if appropriate, or progress onto other learning with us. Please talk to your tutor or centre staff who will be happy to help.
