Description
This welcoming and supportive course offers a chance to explore simple art activities while focusing on your wellbeing. You don't need any previous art experience, just come along as you are.
Over six weeks, you'll take part in a range of gentle creative activities designed to help reduce stress, lift your mood, and promote a sense of calm and relaxation. The focus is not on creating perfect artwork, but on enjoying the creative process, taking time for yourself, and exploring ways that art can support positive mental wellbeing.
Your tutor will guide you step-by-step through a variety of accessible art techniques, helping you build confidence in your creativity while discovering practical ways to use art as a tool for self-care and relaxation.
The course also offers opportunities to connect with others in a friendly and supportive environment, sharing experiences and enjoying the benefits of creativity together.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you would like to boost your mental wellbeing. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and individual work. You will be given tasks and can work on your own projects. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will be painting so please bring something to cover your clothes. You may want to bring something to make notes.
