Adult learners aged 19+ If you live in a devolved area you can enrol online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due (check your eligibility for funding online). Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan (check your eligibility for funding online).

Description
You will gain knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years of age with applied knowledge in the early years. There are 14 units in the course which cover a range of subjects including understanding how to support children's development, supporting the well-being of babies and young children and healthy lifestyles. All units will be assessed using a range of methods and will include assessment within the workplace.
Who is this course for?
This qualification is ideal for learners looking to work with children between birth and 5 Years of age, and gain knowledge of working with children up to 7 years. Learners need to have some previous experience or qualifications in working with children to undertake this. You should have a minimum of Level 1 English and maths qualifications.
How will I learn?
You will attend a weekly, tutor led class on Microsoft Teams.
In addition to your weekly class and placement there will be the minimum of 5 hours of homework.
What will I need?
Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement. We recommend learners complete the minimum of 220 placement hours over 36 weeks whilst undertaking this qualification. Your placement should be in a setting with babies and young children.

If you are working, live in Derbyshire, and earn below £25,000.00 the course may be free.
